Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
PassTheUKTest (passtheuktest.co.uk) is a free study tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
2. Data we collect
Your progress data — quiz answers, XP, streak, and badges — is stored entirely in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data will erase it.
Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used in aggregate (pages visited, session duration, device type). GA4 collects anonymised data including approximate location (country/region), browser, and device. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
3. Cookies
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Our advertising partners (see “Advertising” below) may also set cookies to serve and measure ads. Where you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, these advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from that banner.
4. Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info.
For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, personalised ads are only shown with your consent, collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can review how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Third parties
We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, both operated by Google LLC. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with any third parties other than the analytics and advertising providers described in this policy.
6. Your rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you. Because all quiz progress is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser storage. For analytics data, you can use the Google opt-out tool above.
