AESOL Entry Level 2, a lower standard than currently required
BB1 of the Common European Framework (ESOL Entry Level 3) ✓
CB2 of the Common European Framework, a higher standard than required

Explanation

From October 2013, for settlement, applicants must pass the Life in the UK test AND provide evidence of English speaking and listening skills at B1 of the CEFR, equivalent to ESOL Entry Level 3.
